Former Software Engineer turned Army wife. Mother of 4 children. 40+ years volunteering in church, school, and community to include many leadership positions. President of the Eisenhower High School Drama Booster Club for 9 years. President, Freedom Kits of Yakima, 3 years. Stephanie has been sewing washable feminine hygiene kits for 10 years.

Ruth Tuttle
Retired after 30 years as Patient Care Coordinator for Thompson Audiology in Yakima. Mother of 2. Avid seamstress and crocheter. 50+ years of service in church and community. Ruth has been sewing washable feminine hygiene kits for 10 years.

Toni McBean
Retired school teacher, retired manager of Rexford Manor Senior Living Center, former business owner. Mother of 7 and grandmother of 23. Lifelong volunteer in church, school and community. Member of Yakima Association of Faith Communities. Toni has been sewing washable feminine hygiene kits for 10 years.

Kathy Hale
Mother of 11, Grandmother of 42. Likes to spend time researching family history. Lifelong service in church and community. 10 years working with washable feminine hygiene kits.

Mei-Lynne Statler
Mei-Lynne, mother of 6 and long-time Freedom Kits enthusiast, is absolutely thrilled to work on kits that benefit women and girls here and abroad. It truly is the perfect blend of her passion for active community-focused time and sharing with others. Mei-Lynne prioritizes making everyone feel like part of the family. She loves connecting and sharing her warmth and lively energy with everyone she meets.
She has owned many businesses in Yakima including a restaurant where she and her husband always shared with the community to serve the needy.

Eileen Connell
Former school teacher, mother of 8. Over 50 years volunteering in meaningful church, school and community projects. Sewing washable feminine hygiene kits for 10 years.

Julie Breymeyer
Lifelong maker. Love of gardening, indie music and diversity, equity and inclusion. Julie’s passion is to help make the world a better place for “she her they.” Bonus mom to 2 wonderful daughters.

Supervisor of Awesomeness
Pete Olds
After 35 years working as a Stage Technician in the Seattle area, Pete retired to Yakima and began volunteering actively with Freedom Kits of Yakima. This group allows Pete to use his sewing and organizing skills to direct workflow, train new volunteers, solve problems, and generally keep everyone “on task” and productive. Father of 2 and Preschool Enrichment Volunteer at his church.
